Why Choose FruitFast?
Pure Fruit. Careful Processing. Northern Michigan Roots.
FruitFast is a fifth-generation, family-owned business located about 30 miles north of Traverse City, Michigan. Our family has spent decades working with tart cherries, wild blueberries, aronia berries, pomegranate, grapes, and other fruits to produce concentrated ingredients for homes, kitchens, and food and beverage production.
The FruitFast Advantage is the combination of simple ingredients, fruit-specific concentration targets, careful processing, cold storage, nitrogen flushing, lot tracking, and practical guidance for using and storing each concentrate.
The Short Answer
FruitFast juice concentrates are made without fillers, added sweeteners, stabilizers, or added preservatives. We monitor concentration and use handling steps designed to support consistency, flavor, color, and overall product quality from production through shipment.
Why Choose FruitFast Juice Concentrates?
Our juice concentrates keep the ingredient list simple: fruit concentrate without added fillers, sweeteners, stabilizers, or preservatives.
Brix measures soluble solids. We monitor Brix to help maintain consistent concentration from batch to batch rather than treating every fruit as if it should have the same target.
Before sealing, bottles are flushed with nitrogen to reduce oxygen inside the container. Limiting oxygen exposure helps protect flavor, aroma, and color during storage.
Carefully controlled time and temperature are used to support food safety while minimizing unnecessary heat exposure.
Our concentrates are stored at low temperatures from production through shipment to help maintain product quality before they leave our facility.
We use lightweight, shatter-resistant PET 1 bottles that provide a practical barrier against moisture and gases and are widely accepted in recycling programs.
How We Handle Each Batch
- Concentration is monitored. Brix and other product attributes are checked to help maintain consistency.
- Time and temperature are controlled. Flash pasteurization supports food safety while limiting prolonged heat exposure.
- Oxygen exposure is reduced. Bottles are nitrogen flushed before sealing.
- Product is kept cold. Concentrates remain in low-temperature storage until shipment.
- Lots are tracked. Product information is maintained so batches can be followed through production and shipment.
What Does “High Brix” Mean?
Brix is a measurement of soluble solids. In fruit juice concentrates, it is useful for describing concentration and helping establish consistent mixing ratios. Different fruits naturally have different concentration targets, so a Brix value should always be interpreted in the context of the specific fruit and product.

From Concentrate to Glass, Recipe, or Formulation
FruitFast concentrates can be used for beverages, recipes, sauces, smoothies, and food or beverage formulation. Because concentrated juice is designed to be diluted or incorporated into other ingredients, consistent mixing matters.
Our Reconstitution Guide explains typical mixing ratios, while our Storage Tips for Juice Concentrates page explains how to care for concentrates after they arrive.
Internal Checks and Outside Laboratory Testing
We use internal checks and outside laboratories to monitor product attributes such as Brix, acidity, color, and microbiological safety. These measurements help us evaluate consistency from lot to lot and support our quality-control process.
Popular FruitFast Concentrates
Our best-known concentrate, made from tart cherries and produced to a consistent concentration target.
A concentrated wild blueberry ingredient for beverages, recipes, and food applications.
Pure pomegranate concentrate with no added sweeteners, fillers, or preservatives.
A dark-fruit concentrate with the naturally tart, astringent character associated with aronia berries.
Learn More About Fruit Chemistry
Fruits contain complex mixtures of naturally occurring compounds, and those profiles vary by fruit, cultivar, processing, storage, and analytical method. FruitFast’s educational library explains these compounds without treating the presence of a compound in raw fruit as proof of a particular amount or effect in a finished product.
Learn about the pigments responsible for many red, purple, and blue colors in fruit.
Explore the broader family of plant phenolics found across fruits and other plant foods.

Frequently Asked Questions About FruitFast Juice Concentrates
What makes FruitFast juice concentrates different?
Our concentrates combine simple ingredient lists with fruit-specific Brix monitoring, flash pasteurization, nitrogen flushing, cold storage, lot tracking, and product-quality checks.
Do FruitFast juice concentrates contain added sugar or preservatives?
No. Our juice concentrates do not contain added sweeteners, stabilizers, fillers, or added preservatives.
Does a higher Brix number mean a concentrate contains more beneficial plant compounds?
No. Brix measures soluble solids. It does not directly measure anthocyanins, phenolic acids, vitamins, or other individual compounds. Those require compound-specific analytical testing.
How do I mix FruitFast concentrates?
Each product includes suggested directions. For additional guidance, see our Reconstitution Guide.
Are FruitFast bottles recyclable?
We use PET 1 bottles, which are widely accepted by recycling programs. Local recycling rules can vary, so check the guidelines in your area.
Where are FruitFast concentrates produced and bottled?
Production and bottling are done in northern Michigan, about 30 miles north of Traverse City.
