How to Dry Blueberries
FruitFast Kitchen Guide
Blueberries can be dried at home in a dehydrator or low oven, but breaking the skins first helps moisture escape more evenly.
If you want the convenience without the prep, FruitFast also sells ready-to-use dried blueberry options.
How to Dry Blueberries at Home
- Wash and dry the berries.
- Briefly blanch or crack the skins so moisture can escape.
- Arrange in a single layer on dehydrator trays.
- Dry at the temperature recommended for fruit by your dehydrator manufacturer until leathery and no longer wet inside.
- Cool fully before sealing, then store in an airtight container.
Using Dried Blueberries
Add them to oatmeal, yogurt, granola, trail mix, muffins, cookies or breads.
