Q: What makes this juice a concentrate? Is it boiled down to make it more concentrated or does it simply contain pureed beet pulp?

Asked by: sarah - 6/26/2022
A: The juice from the Beet is extracted, and the water is evaporated to condense the product down into the concentrate.

Q: I'm still wondering about your cold pressed beet concentrate. So you don't cook it down to gain the concentration. So how does cold pressure develop the concentrate? I'm sorry you probably get this question all the time. But if your product maintains it strength levels then I'm all in for this. Thank you.

Asked by: Dennis - 11/30/2022
A: There is an evaporation method used for the concentration process. The only time it is heated is during the flash-pasteurization process, submitting the product to a higher heat for a short amount of time.

Q: Why do you recommend some juices be taken after a meal?

Asked by: David - 1/17/2023
A: Each serving of concentrate is a LOT of condensed fruit (or veggie) juice that tends to lead to discomfort for customers who are not used to consuming so much fruit/vegetables at one time.

Q: Can you use the beet juice in cooking? For example, could you make pickled red beet eggs by adding vinegar, spices, and water? In what proportions? I understand this would probably alter the health benefits, when used in this manner. Thank you !

Asked by: Judy F - 2/26/2022
A: While we don't have a recipe for pickled beet eggs (feel free to send one over!), you can certainly cook with the concentrate. If your recipe calls for beet juice, take one ounce of our concentrate and mix with 7 ounces of water to reconstitute.

Q: Does beet juice concentrate naturally contain dietary nitrates, and how does it compare to tart cherry?

Asked by: Hilary - 4/3/2023
A: Beets naturally contain dietary nitrates, while tart cherries contain much lower amounts. Nitrate levels can vary widely depending on growing conditions and processing, so our products are not standardized or marketed for nitrate content, and we don’t provide nitrate dosing information. Most customers simply enjoy these juices as part of a balanced diet.

Q: Hello, If I wanted to restore the concentrated Beetroot Juice back to its original dilution......What would that ratio be" (i.e. how much concentrate will make one quart of non-concentrated Juice?)

Asked by: Mark P. Gordetsky - 5/18/2024
A: Because taste preferences vary, there isn’t one exact ratio. Many customers start with about one part concentrate to six or eight parts water, then adjust from there. The concentrate is quite strong, so a small amount goes a long way.

Q: Once opened and kept refrigerated, how long is the product good for? Is this similar for your other juices?

Asked by: Randy Terry - 10/21/2024
A: Once opened, we recommend refrigerating the bottle and using it within several months for best quality. This guidance is generally consistent across our juice concentrates. Keeping the cap tightly sealed and using clean utensils helps maintain freshness.

For longer storage, many customers also choose to keep the concentrate in the freezer, where it stays scoopable and well-preserved.
